Expression Lines
Lines that become more noticeable with frowning, smiling, squinting, or forehead movement.
Aesthetic Concern
Lines and wrinkles can reflect more than one change — repeated facial movement, evolving skin quality, laxity, and changes in facial support can each play a role. That is why treatment selection begins with the concern, not with a device.

What You May Be Noticing
The visible line matters, but so does what is contributing to it. Some lines are driven mainly by muscle movement; others are more related to skin texture, laxity, or changes in facial support.
Lines that become more noticeable with frowning, smiling, squinting, or forehead movement.
Lines that remain visible even when the face is relaxed.
Fine lines, texture changes, or crepey appearance around the eyes.
Skin that looks less smooth or more etched over time.
Lines that appear more prominent as skin support and firmness change.
Volume or contour changes that can alter how folds and lines appear.
What Dr. Challa Evaluates
The goal is to understand what is creating the line before discussing how to treat it. LifeViz® 3D imaging may be used as part of the visual baseline and planning process.
Treatment planning is physician-led and supported by LifeViz® 3D imaging. The imaging supports the conversation; it does not replace the medical assessment.
Whether the line is mainly created by facial muscle activity.
Surface texture, etched lines, collagen-related changes, and overall skin condition.
Whether reduced skin support is making lines or folds more noticeable.
Whether contour or volume changes are contributing to the concern.
Previous treatments, medical history, desired degree of change, and tolerance for downtime.

There is no single best treatment for every wrinkle. Dynamic expression lines, etched-in lines, laxity, skin texture, and volume-related changes can require different approaches. The treatment plan depends on what is causing the concern.
No. Neuromodulators are designed to temporarily reduce targeted muscle activity and are most relevant when repeated facial movement contributes to the line. Other concerns may be better addressed with laser, tightening, resurfacing, filler, or combination care.
They do different things. Laser treatments can support selected skin-quality, resurfacing, collagen, or textural goals, while injectables may address muscle activity or facial support. One is not automatically better than the other.
Sometimes. A physician may discuss a staged or combination plan when different components of the concern would benefit from different treatment approaches.
Yes. Candidacy, treatment choice, recovery, and expected results depend on your anatomy, medical history, skin characteristics, prior treatments, and goals.
If fine lines or wrinkles are what brought you here, the next step is understanding what is contributing to them and which options are appropriate to consider.
